The Secret to Mastering The Secret
by One of the 24 Official Secret Teachers and author of The Sedona Method, Hale Dwoskin
So, by now you know that the law of attraction is a Great Secret of Life.
What is the law of attraction? Simply put, the law of attraction states that “Like attracts like.” What this universal law tells you about your own life is that the thoughts you think, feelings you feel, words you say, and actions you take all consist of energy that attracts to it more of its own kind. That is, negative energies attract negative energies, and positive energies attract positive energies.
Yet most of us cannot control how we think, feel and behave no matter how hard we try.
A less known yet equally important law is the "law of surrender" or the "law of letting go." When you let go of the old patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, you make room and free up the energy required to attract all that your heart desires.
There is a simple and effective way to take charge of the law of attraction and easily let go of the old and hold in mind what you want and attract it to you. This technique is used by over one-third of the teachers in The Secret and many of them believe The Sedona Method is the secret to mastering The Secret.
Letting go of the old
Because of the momentum of your habitual ways of thinking, feeling and behaving, you may often feel like you are trying to move forward with a rubber band around your waist. So the closer you get to attracting what you want into your life, the pull of your old thinking is so strong, you seem to snap back into your old patterns.
These patterns are stealing your energy. Every negative pattern you are holding onto from the past is robbing you of the energy that you could be using to create all that you choose. When you let go of these negative patterns, you can then channel this energy into your worthy goals and intentions.
If you truly have over 50,000 thoughts a day, that’s a lot of thoughts to try to control and make positive. Yet if you “wake up on the wrong side of the bed,” you can have the same feeling the whole day coloring every thought. So it is much more effective to master your emotions than simply trying to control your thoughts.
You are creating the sum total of your thinking and feeling about any particular topic all the time, but most of thinking and feeling is below your conscious awareness in your subconscious. In fact, 94-96% of your actions are motivated by the thoughts and feelings that are outside of your conscious awareness and control. When you let go of your conscious feelings using The Sedona Method, you empty your subconscious and you take back your control.
So, how do you use the law of attraction in your life to produce the results you want?
Letting go of your thoughts and feelings actually dissolves the negative emotional charge and allows you to easily feel the natural feelings of joy, peace, happiness, wealth, and love that are your true nature. You can let go of anything negative and uncover the positive that is natural in each and every one of us at our core. This will quickly and dramatically shift your sum total thinking and feeling about your goals and dreams and allow you to put the law of attraction into full effect in your life.
No doubt about it, letting go is the secret to mastering The Secret.
Remember, to create what you want, it is important to feel that you already have what you want and not just think it. There is no more effective way to let go of your negative emotions and feel the positive outcome of your goals than with The Sedona Method.
The Sedona Method is a simple, powerful, easy-to-learn technique that shows you how to access your natural ability to let go of any unwanted feeling or thought right in the moment. It has been practiced by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide since 1974, including over one-third of the teachers in The Secret. It is the key to unlocking your unlimited potential to have, be or do whatever you desire to attract into your life.
Three Other Powerful Ways to Create All You Desire when Combined with The Law of Attraction and The Sedona Method
Get into Action: If you simply fantasize about how great it is going to be to have what you want but you don’t take action, you are engaging in "magical thinking." When you let go of fantasy and take action to achieve your goals, you deal with what is actually here now and take the appropriate actions to bring what you want to you. You also make yourself available to unexpected ways of attracting success.
Give Without Wanting Anything Back in Return: One of the most powerful actions you can take to create what you want in life is to give to others without wanting anything back in return. This opens your heart to your intuitive knowing and gratitude. When you give without strings attached, you are allowing your energy to flow—and it comes back to you many times over. By the law of attraction, giving to others attracts the energy of giving to you.
Follow Your Heart: There is a universal intelligence or knowingness in each and every one of us. When you are open to this intelligence of the heart, it guides you in the right direction to do what is best for you and those around you. Following this intuitive knowing attracts to you whatever you need as you need it. You find yourself having, being and doing whatever is right for you in the moment for your highest good.
Now you know the secret to mastering The Secret. Practice this along with The Secret and you’ll uncover that which mankind has sought since the dawn of time—and the Great Secret of the Ages will truly be yours.

Getting Into Action
by Hale Dwoskin
Secret Teacher and author of The Sedona Method
There are four great ways to apply the Law of Attraction in your life:
1) Letting go of the negative with The Sedona Method
2) Giving without wanting something back in return
3) Getting Into Action
4) Following your heart.
This article is the second in the series on applying the Law of Attraction and focuses on getting into action.
Why is it important to get into action?
If you simply fantasize about how great it is going to be to have what you want, but you don’t take action, you are engaging in “magical thinking.” When you let go of fantasy and take action to achieve your goals, you deal with what is actually here now and take the appropriate actions to bring what you want to you. You also make yourself available to unexpected ways of attracting success.
Many people, when they attempt to create what they want in their lives, pretend that there is nothing they need to do in order to create what they want. This is true if you have completely let go of the negative; however, it does not work if you have any doubt or subconscious hold-backs about what you are trying to create.
For most of us, it is much more practical to get into at least some action to achieve our goals. Otherwise we simply spend time imagining how great it will be to get our goals without noticing that there may be action required to achieve them.
When you do get into action two things happen. First you may actually do something that will produce the desired result or make yourself available to discover what the right action may be. The other advantage in getting into action is that it brings up all the thoughts and feelings that you have within you that are contrary to you achieving your goal so you can let them go with The Sedona Method.
Getting into action also generates the energy and momentum needed to overcome whatever obstacles you discover both internally and externally that may be in your way. Action sends a clear sign to the universe that you are serious about your intent which primes the pump of creation.
There Are Two Types of Action
The two types are, one, action to attract your goal and, two, taking action without wanting anything back in return. Most of us act only for ourselves or those we care about. However, it is important to take both types of action.
Just like with giving, when you act without wanting anything back in return – without being attached to the outcome – the results are much more profound. You are truly letting your actions go and not damming up the flow of universal energy.
When you act with only personal intent you are running only on your limited personal energy. When you act for the good of the whole or without being attached to the outcome, you access the universal energy that is always available right within you so you have much more power to create.
This translates not just to doing good for the planet, but it also helps you channel energy into your worth personal aspirations.
If you remain open when you are acting without attachment, you also may discover that all action is spontaneously being generated by the source or universal energy that is always here and now. When you discover that you are not the doer you free yourself to simply be and enjoy the peace, love and joy of being that is available to you here and now…whether or not you achieve your goals.
Remember to let go using The Sedona Method
When you get into any type of action remember to let go. Simply getting into action without letting go will often still produce some result. However, if you let go before, during and after your actions as best you can you will find that the results come much more quickly and easily and with a lot less stress and strain on you.
Enjoy getting into action to attract what you want and watch what happens. I am sure you will be very pleasantly surprised. Please let us know how getting into action is helping you achieve what you desire. Please also share this information with everyone you know.

The Secret Behind the Power and Joy of Giving
by Secret Teacher and author of
The Sedona Method, Hale Dwoskin
There is a very simple yet powerful action you can take every day to support your use of The Sedona Method and the Law of Attraction. It is the secret to having it all—including happiness without limit. This secret will not just benefit you, but the planet as a whole.
In the circle of life there is an ebb and flow, like breathing in and out. If we were to breathe in only and not let go of that breath, our life would simply end. What my wife, Amy Edwards, and I have found personally and with many of our friends and business associates is that giving and receiving are cyclical, too. You may notice that the people who give the most—without expectation of receiving anything in return—are the happiest and often the most successful. Why?
Because successful people do not try to stop the flow of energy simply by receiving only … they give back, too.
Here is the little known secret: Giving unconditionally, with no strings attached, opens the heart exponentially and is not bound by time.
When we receive a new car, clothing, home or whatever it may be, we may become extremely happy for a period of time. But this joy is temporary. The heart opens with delight, only to close later and to desire more “stuff” in an attempt to regain this fleeting feeling of happiness.
The Amazing Power of Giving Without Wanting Anything Back in Return
Most of us, even if we are doing the necessary internal work of letting go or are working with the Law of Attraction, spend most if not all of our time and energy trying to protect and enhance our own “personal” lives and the lives of those that we care about the most.
We forget that we do not live in a vacuum.
It is important to remember that each of us exists as part of a whole and it is also important give to and support our world.
For many years, in our advanced Sedona training courses, we have recommended a very powerful action. You can take this action every day to help to create all you desire and free yourself from your self-imposed prison of limitation.
This simple action is giving without wanting anything back in return. Many of us are so self-centered that everything we do, even in our closest relationships, is at best a barter rather than true selfless giving without wanting anything back in return.
All giving feels wonderful and is very supportive to you and our world; however, when we give with expectation of receiving something back in return—that is, with “strings attached,” we are not really letting go of what we are giving. When we do not let go completely, we block the flow of energy.
When you give without expecting something back in return you are allowing the flow of universal energy so that whatever you give comes back to you many fold and in many ways. But remember, if you are giving to get something back, this does not happen—it is simply more barter.
There are many reasons that giving without wanting something back in return is so powerful. Here are just a few:
• It feels wonderful. When you give without wanting anything back in return it opens your heart to the peace, love and joy that you are.
• It helps you to feel grateful. When you give to others without expectation this naturally causes your heart to open and you are filled with great compassion and gratitude. Truly the giver is blessed.
• It brings up your remaining scarcity and selfishness. You may think this is a problem, but it is not. When you bring up these limitations into your conscious awareness, you then can let them go. If you simply ignore them or pretend they are not there, they remain active in your subconscious. This often sabotages even your most valiant efforts to succeed and attract to you what you desire. These feelings, if ignored, may even attract to you the opposite of what you trying to create.
• When you give fully, you allow the energy of the universe to flow. When we simply focus on receiving, we create a dam in our energy which keeps us from truly having it all and feeling all the benefits of the letting go that comes from giving.
• We remember there is more than enough and we are not alone. When we are working with The Sedona Method or The Law of Attraction without also giving with an open mind and heart, we are holding in mind and projecting at least some scarcity, separation and need. When you give, you recognize the abundance and unity that comes from knowing there is always more than enough to give not just receive.
• It frees you from your karma. If you believe in karma or gaining merit, there is also another benefit in giving without wanting anything back in return. Even if you have the most socially conscious and environmental sustainable life or business, you cannot help impacting and taking from your environment. Life feeds on life. When you give, especially in ways that positively impact the planet, you help neutralize the negative effects of the consequences of your actions.
• We are the emptiness. In some ways we are all going through life as though we are trying to fill a bag with no bottom. Energy is always flowing through the present. The Now is the only time life happens—and the only time anything can be done about anything. As you recognize that no-thing is permanent, yet what you are is changelessly here and now, your welcoming all experiencing and giving without wanting anything back in return is natural.
• You attract giving to you. The Law of Attraction clearly states that what you put out into both your internal and external world comes back to you. Image how powerful putting giving energy out into your world can be. Would you like giving energy to come back to you?
Do the Best You Can
In the beginning, because of the momentum behind our habitual patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, we may still give with strings attached. This is of course OK, and is much better than not giving at all. However, if you find that you are holding onto expectations of any type of payback, you can simply use The Sedona Method to let these expectations go. As you do this, it will get easier and easier to give without expectation and reap the full benefit of selfless action.
You Do Not Have to Give Money or Things
Giving without wanting anything back in return does not have to be limited to things. You can practice loving kindness and compassion in your dealings with others. You can open a door for someone without wanting a thank you back in return. You can do something unexpected for someone that you care about. You can be of service. Volunteer to help an organization that is doing good in your community or for the world at large….

Positive change begins with you. Start practicing giving today and notice what happens.
Lester Levenson, the inspiration behind The Sedona Method, used to say, “In the end, you discover that the only one you have ever helped is you.” We are all one.

Follow Your Heart
by Hale Dwoskin
Secret Teacher and author of The Sedona Method
There are four great ways to apply the Law of Attraction in your life:
1) Letting go of the negative with The Sedona Method
2) Giving without wanting something back in return
3) Getting Into Action
4) Following your heart.
This article is the third in the series on applying the Law of Attraction and focuses on following your heart.
Why It’s Important to Follow Your Heart?
There is a universal intelligence or knowingness in each and every one of us. When you are open to this intelligence of the heart, it guides you in the right direction to do what is best for you and those around you.
Following this intuitive knowing attracts to you whatever you need as you need it. You find yourself having, being and doing whatever is right for you in the moment for your highest good.
Your heart knows what actions are appropriate for you to take to attract to you what is appropriate for you. Your heart also knows when to give or act without wanting anything in return.
Following your heart also feels great. There is an inner sense of peace and completion as well as love and compassion as you allow yourself to follow your heart. This feels so good it is often its own reward.
What if I Have Attempted to Follow My Heart Unsuccessfully?
Even though you have probably heard the advice “follow your heart” before you know it is not always as easy as it sounds.
First of all, we have been programmed by society to believe in and trust our minds over our hearts, so we may not even try to follow the intelligence of the heart. In my experience this is a grave mistake. Our mind can only respond after the fact based on memory, while our heart – our intuitive knowing – is always in the now responding appropriately to what is actually going on.
Even if we believe in the value of trusting the intuitive knowingness that flows from the heart, we can not always tell the difference between intuition and emotional reaction. They often can start out feeling the same.
The Way to Open Yourself to the Wisdom of the Heart
There is a simple yet powerful way for you to uncover your intuitive knowingness and follow your heart… Letting go! It is very simple. When you believe you are either being mislead by the mind or are not sure that gut sense you are experiencing is actually intuition, simply let go using The Sedona Method.
If you let go and it is simply mental confusion or emotional reaction it will simply lessen as you let go and may even fully disappear. If it is a message from your heart – your own knowingness – it will simply get quieter and clearer as you let go.
Now you know why Lester Levenson, the inspiration behind The Sedona Method, said “Intuition is only right 100% of the time.” He knew as you now do that if you let go of your reactions and trust the true messages of the heart you can not go wrong.
Allow yourself to explore letting go instead of allowing your doubt or reactions to control you the next time you are attempting to know what to do. You will find yourself following your heart and naturally moving in the direction of attracting all that is for your highest good.
Please let us know how following your heart is helping you achieve what you desire. Please also share this information with everyone you know.

Five Techniques to Stop Feeding Your Pet Monsters Now
by Hale Dwoskin
CEO and Author of The Sedona Method
Do you have a pet problem or belief that you have been caring for and feeding? If you are like most people, you have a whole zoo. Most of us, without realizing it, are feeding and maintaining the very things in our awareness that we say we are wanting to get rid of. These problems, beliefs or programs are literally feeding on your energy and robbing you of your aliveness and ability to create or attract all that you choose.
Here is how it works. Something in your life happens that you do not like and you want to change it. Your wanting to change what is, is also a resistance to what is. The feeling of resistance or wanting to change what is feeds the past event, decision or belief with your attention or energy. Even though the event or last time you had the problem may be quite some time ago, you act as though it is happening now—and make it so. This causes you to continually re-create and re-experience the problem over and over again, which simply feeds it more and makes it appear bigger or more real.
Think of some of your pet monsters. How often are you thinking about them throughout the day? You probably think about them a lot or are simply trying not to think about them a lot (which is functionally the same thing).
This care and feeding of your problems happens many ways:
• You may think about it or try not to think about it off and on throughout your day.
• When a thought or picture comes up, you may try and cancel it out, think about something else or pretend it’s not there.
• You may also simply push through and try and create positive events or goals in your life, despite the “fact” that you have these beliefs or problems.
• You may also create all sorts of compensations by arranging your life to try and avoid having the problem (which is still feeding it by running your life as though your monsters are real and therefore need to be avoided).
All of the above mechanisms simply reinforce and feed the monsters and cause you to shut down and contract around the problem, while draining you of the positive energy you would have had to create or attract all you choose if you were not caught up in this feeding cycle. But, there is a way out…
Breaking the Feeding Cycle
To break the feeding cycle of your pet monsters, you simply let go. Everything about The Sedona Method is designed to break this cycle and set you free to have, be and do whatever you choose. Here are some specific applications of The Sedona Method that will help you—some you may already be familiar with and some that you may not have thought of that we explore on our advanced courses.
1. Let go of Resisting or Wanting to Change the Problem.
This is one of the simplest yet most profound applications of The Sedona Method. If you simply allow yourself to let go of the feeling of resisting or wanting to change the problem or belief, this immediately stops the feeding and weakens the belief or problem. It also feels great and can be done any time, even in action.
2. Welcome How You Feel.
When you resist what is—including the feelings we have about the problems or beliefs—we cause them to persist and even get bigger. In addition to letting go of resisting or wanting to change the problem, allow yourself to welcome or allow the feelings you have about them. As you welcome the feelings, just by welcoming them they start to dissolve, and you can allow yourself to let go and move forward in your life much more easily.
3. Let Go of Wanting to Figure Out Why You Have the Problem or What to Do About It.
This technique is very powerful. When we are wanting to figure out our problems, we have to hold onto them until we get the answer. We are also looking away from the intuitive knowingness that is always right within us. The only reason that we want to figure out our problems is because we are planning to have them again. When you let go of wanting to figure out what to do about the problem or why it is there, the answers come from within and you simply let the problem go.
4. Let Go of Wanting to Make the Problem or Belief Real Again.
Every time we engage in a problem, we appear to give it reality or validity. You can simply ask yourself to let go of wanting to make the problem real again and let go. By letting go of wanting to make the problem real again, you will discover that it is not as real as it appears and you can simply let it go.
5. Let Go of Feeding the Problem.
This one may not be that obvious. There are several ways to simply stop feeding the problem that can be done before, during, and after the other suggestions in this article.
• Picture your problems as little animals that live on energy—your energy—and simply let go of wanting to feed them. You can do this by asking yourself, “Could I let go of wanting to feed this problem again?”
• You can also picture the problem as a little animal and pet it a few times to let it know that you appreciate it for all it has done to attempt to help you—and then send it on its way. Let it know that you can handle life on your own.
• When the problem does come up in awareness, you can recognize that it is a storehouse of energy waiting to be tapped and simply picture the energy draining out of problem and into your positive goals and intentions.
Have fun with these suggestions and let us know how you do. If you experiment with this, you will find that it has a profound effect on how you feel and all that you do.
Please feel free to share this article with everyone you know.
