Good day Victoria and thanks for participating in our interview.
Norm: Could you tell our readers what is Psycanics and when and why did you become interested in it?
Victoria:
Psycanics is a knowledge system that answers the question — How Does Life Work? Psycanics is based on universal laws and principles that apply to each of us regardless of culture or belief. Because the universal concept of Psycanics applies to all of humanity it is called ‘science’. Psycanics is a science of How Life Works.
It is a science that explains the universal laws of mind, emotion, behavior, communications, and relationships. Psycanics is the science of the non-physical, Life force, Quantum Human Energy that resides in each of us. It is the universal science of Life itself. Understanding the universal laws of Quantum Human Energy is what gives us Power in life. Simply put, Life works according to a Causal Sequence of BE FEEL THINK DO HAVE, where each area directly impacts the following area of the sequence. I began to understand how a negative “BE” creates a negative Causal Sequences, which creates our negative results in life.
I became interested in Psycanics as a personal growth system some four years ago. While I had experienced material success, as is the case with many adults, I was still unfulfilled. I was on a quest to find what true happiness is. My search led me to discover and experience many growth and spiritual systems but it was Psycanics, created by Thomas Michael Powell, that most resonated with me. Its universal application to all areas of life works beautifully. I discovered that the ability to understand and control my “BE”, the first step in the Causal Sequence of Life, is where my true Power originates. When I began to apply Psycanics personal transformation came quickly. At the time I discovered Psycanics, Thomas was still living and working in Mexico. I worked and studied with him to learn as much as possible about Psycanics and how to successfully apply it in my life. Thomas has now returned to the states and is concentrating on introducing Psycanics to individuals. He continues to support my efforts to introduce Psycanics to businesses and organizations.
Norm:
What motivated you to write The Science of Leadership and whom do you think will benefit from it? Why?
Victoria:
I became motivated to write The Science of Leadership as a result of my personal transformation and the positive effects my own transformation had on others in my life. As I discovered how the Causal Sequence was at work in my life, it also became clear that this very same Sequence was operating in others. Recognizing that we all operate from our “BE”, I saw how I could help others operate from a positive “BE” and therefore enjoy more and more positive Quantum Human Energy. As a business leader and manager, I recognized that I had a tremendous opportunity to positively impact my workforce. In deciding to move myself to a higher level of personal Power, I was naturally moved to do the same for others. As I sought out more and more opportunities for others to experience positive Life Force or Quantum Human Energy as it is called in the book, the overall results were a motivated team that easily met and exceeded all objectives.
This book will benefit anyone who is interested in understanding “How Life Works”. First and foremost, it is a book of personal transformation. I chose to present this information as a new business model for leaders and managers because by introducing these concepts to organizations, a greater shift in world consciousness can occur.
Norm:
Why do you think this is an important book at this time? How has the feedback been so far?
Victoria:
Not only is this an important book at this time, I would suggest that it is essential reading at this time. By not understanding the underlying factors that motivate people, leaders and managers ensure less than desirable results. Leaders are in the unique position of being able to directly influence the Energy Climate of their organizations. The question for leaders and managers then becomes, “am I creating positive change or negative change?” So far the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
Norm:
What challenges or obstacles did you encounter while writing your book? How did you overcome these challenges?
Victoria:
The first challenge was to decide which concepts are the most critical to personal transformation. There are many universal laws and principles that govern both our physical world; so to are there universal laws and principles that govern our non-physical, quantum universe of mind, emotion and spirit. In order not to overwhelm the reader, not all of the universal laws are discussed here but certainly you will find enough detail to create positive change.
Another challenge was to present the information in laymen’s terms so that it is easily understood. Other Psycanics texts present the material using scientific formulas and equations. Here I have chosen to use scientific formulas sparingly, opting for simple explanation instead. Analogies are used in many areas and concepts are further defined with examples from my personal experience.
The greatest challenge is the subject matter itself. The concepts that this book introduces are truly of our non-physical energies — of spirit. There is potential for concern as some may confuse ‘spiritual’ with ‘religious’. This book is not at all religious, but it is of spirit — the non-physical Life spirit, the Quantum Human Life Energy that resides in each and every one of us. Particular care has been paid to ensure that the concepts have been presented so as to not conflict with anyone’s personal belief system.
Norm:
How widely implemented in industry are the various principles and techniques you explain in your book? What have been the results?
Victoria:
The principles and techniques discussed in this book center on personal power and happiness. In my experience and observation businesses and organizations manage by intimidation and harassment. Businesses operate in reverse of the Causal Sequence: they operate in reaction to the negative “HAVE”, the negative results that occur due to the negative Causal Sequences that are widespread in business models in use today. The current business models fail to produce positive results because they fail to understand the pervasive, underlying motivation of every human being – the need to fully experience greater levels of positive Life Force or Quantum Human Energy. The failure of businesses to understand this basic, innate motivation of every person keeps businesses in a cycle of inefficiency. Organizations that foster a climate where an employee can experience an increase in personal power will see an increase in personal initiative, responsibility, creativity and resourcefulness.
Norm:
Why do you believe there has been an increase in “office rage” these past few years and is it getting worse?
Victoria:
Businesses are under more and more pressure to meet more and more objectives with fewer and fewer resources. This trend has created a pressure cooker in the office with stress levels rising to alarming rates. The end result of this trend is an increase in negative energy in the workplace. The results for any business depend on whether people, the basic unit of power in any organization, are operating with positive or negative Quantum Life Energy. The primary cause of conflicts, problems and reduced production is negative Quantum Human Energy in the organization. Negative Quantum Energies are the cause of interpersonal frictions, sabotage, anger, resentment, hostility, anxiety, jealousy, fear, greed, dishonesty, ego, irresponsibility, laziness, victimhood — to name just a few. People were not designed to operate in negative energy. As businesses continue to function in a negative Causal Sequence, negative energy will continue to flourish in the organization.
This increase in negative Quantum Energy will ensure that incidents of ‘office rage’ continue to rise. The only way for businesses to reverse this trend is to understand how Quantum Energies operate in each person and how these energies create either a positive or negative Causal Sequence in each individual. When employees operate in positive Quantum Energy, the business will experience positive results. It is the negative Human Energy that reduces the power of an organization much more so than problems with machinery, equipment or budget constraints.
Norm:
Are there business schools that teach Psycanics and its applicability to business practices? If not, should they be included in the curriculum?
Victoria:
At this time, the only school in the United States that teaches this new business model is Galileo Business & Learning Consultants LLC. While the curriculum is derived from Psycanics and its major concepts, Galileo operates separate from the Psycanics Foundation to further eliminate confusion with the more spiritual aspect of Psycanics.
The primary curriculum offering is LEAD an acronym for Leadership & Executive Accomplishment by Design. This three day training course teaches the concepts that are introduced in The Science of Leadership. For maximum impact a business should consider enrolling its entire workforce in this training, however significant positive change will occur should only leaders and managers participate. The LEAD Program is not inspirational or motivational as neither of these last for long. This training creates permanent changes in the way people think, feel, treat and react to each other and life’s circumstances.
Unlike other programs, LEAD transforms the Human Energy Climate of an organization. Businesses seek to improve their operations, performance and results. They look for more effective and efficient operations, greater production and increased profits. Achieving these goals depends on the performance of the people in the organization. Their performance depends on the energies that they are generating within themselves and in turn, outputting to others and to the organization. Until this critical piece becomes an integral part of business training curriculums, organizations will continue to spend significant training dollars on training programs that will yield little to no significant results.
Norm:
How would you respond to potential readers who might be skeptical about the subject matter of the book?
Victoria:
I can personally attest to the applicability to these concepts in the workplace. I used them myself and had great results. These principles apply to all areas of life. I have used the same principles at home and have experienced the same success. We are all more than just our bodies; we are Life Energy entities. We have an innate desire to express more and more of the positive Life Energies of which we are made. I have encountered some who question the existence of this ‘Life Energy’.
I would ask those who would question this to consider a rock. What makes a rock different than a plant? What makes a plant different than an animal? What makes an animal different than a person? I suggest that the difference is the quality and quantity of Life Essence Energy. Some give this Life Essence Energy a name, referring to it as God, or Higher Power, or Divine Essence or Universal Power. It matters not what you call it. I leave the label for each to decide for themselves. All I know is that there is a difference between you and a rock. Understanding that difference and how it operates is the key to success or failure in life and in business.
Norm:
How do you intend to market your book?
Victoria:
I intend to take advantage of every speaking opportunity I can. I am training myself in the art of podcasting, internet marketing and Google Adwords. I have begun to network with area and national business persons and personal growth teachers.
Norm: As a businesswoman, what was the biggest reward of your life?
Victoria:
My biggest reward came when I began to apply the principles outlined in The Science of Leadership. There is nothing more rewarding than assisting another in finding their full potential. Giving others the tools to create personal power and happiness is the greatest gift you can give others and therefore yourself.
Norm: Is there anything else you wish to add that we have not covered and what is next for Victoria DePaul?
Victoria:
Completing this project was a major milestone for me. I have written many short stories but nothing that compares to this. Perhaps one day, I will dust off the half dozen or so unfinished manuscripts still laying around the house. But first, I plan to return to my passion — teaching. I am a teacher by nature and perform at my best when I am with people. My priority now will be to grow Galileo into a world class distributor of the LEAD Business training program. Having the opportunity to work directly with Thomas Michael Powell on this project is a gift that I will always be grateful for.
